| Rosemarie Startek
Rosemarie first discovered clay while training as an Early Childhood educator. She has taken several creative art courses, a component of which was clay. Rosemarie loved it from the first time a she set her hands in it. Three decades later her hands are still covered in clay. Rosemarie is drawn to experimenting with different glazes and the challenge that this offers. She finds herself stimulated by the medium and continues to enjoy workshops offered by various artists. Rosemarie has been a workshop member since September 1968. She has taken fine arts courses at the University of Waterloo, worked with a sculptor in England, and has taken an architectural course at the University of Melbourne in Australia. Rosemarie has won awards for primitive firing and sculpture. |
