| Yolanda Kieres Sokalska
Her exposure to art was amplified during the years spent at the high school of fine arts, followed by the Academy of fine arts. Drawing, painting and sculpture, basic graphic design, ceramics, glass, composition and arrangement were her main objects of studies. She obtained a master's degree in Fine arts, specializing in Glass design. The versatility of her education has challenged her to work with different media; however, glass remains her favourite discipline.Glass objects give her the opportunity to deal within the wide and open area of basic artistic values: arrangement, colour, and expression. Some technical demands that she has to face in the process of making glass-objects, develop her ideas in creating certain objects in certain ways. Two-dimensional presentations in glass that she has been creating, send artistic messages differently than three-dimensional. Her major intent is to show invisible energy, which is embodied in clear material. |
