Caroline Shuttle resides and works in Bloomfield, Ontario where she spent 17 years working in the forest as a resource technician before deciding to become a full time artist. In this line of Asian-inspired fused glass dishes Shuttle has created stunning designs in captivating colours resulting in a powerful display of simplicity and beauty. She says, "I work with glass because its nature is contrary - solid one moment, fluid the next. Glass is strong yet brittle. It can refract or reflect light. It can be textured or smooth. These things draw me to work with glass in all its many forms."
