Carol Bradley operates Rivertile studio with Tilman Lichter in Kitchener, Ontario. She designs and creates hand pressed stoneware tiles that are hung alone as decorative pieces, used as functional trivets and coasters, or incorporated into larger installations such as fireplaces, kitchens and bathrooms. Bradley draws her inspiration from plant forms found and collected in nature, such as leaves, branches, flowers and seedpods. She states: "framed by the edges of the tile, the relief imagery focuses attention on these simple, everyday objects while the natural, quiet character of our glazes emphasises their subtle appeal."
